Student-Produced PSAs Encourage E-Bike Safety

WCS TV/Film students are using their talent and creativity to warn their peers about the dangers of electric bicycles (e-bikes).

In October, the District launched an E-Bike Safety Video Contest and invited the high school TV/Film programs, along with each middle school, to participate. The District received seven submissions, and on December 10, a group of WCS staff members and law enforcement officers judged each video based on categories like clarity of message, originality and storytelling.

Nolensville High's submission was announced as the overall winner in the December 16 issue of InFocus. Coming in second place is Brentwood High School with their video produced by Jordan Montano, Jett Holt and Rio Sebert. Rounding out the top three is Page High for their video describing how to survive a zombie apocalypse. That Public Service Announcement (PSA) was produced by Mason O'Banion, Ian Miller, Nolan Brown, Gavin Clapp, Mason Lackey, Bryson Nelson, Mabel McGill, Madison Benear and Mia Chimento.
