WCS High Schools Celebrate Homecoming

Brentwood High students held their annual homecoming day parade on October 1.

The parade, which was originally scheduled to take place September 27, had to be rescheduled due to weather. The community came out in droves Tuesday as the parade traveled its traditional route down Murray Lane.

The Bruins football game versus Overton was also rescheduled and took place Thursday, September 26. The Bruins came away with the win, beating Overton by a score of 42-6.

The Summit High theater department brought a classic tale to life with its performance of Pride and Prejudice September 26-28.

Audiences saw a love story between two unlikely people, Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett, play out onstage. Students took a large role in producing the show, including the lighting design.

"Every year, it is my honor to work with the best of the best," said SHS theater director Annie Rice. "I am so thankful that they stick around and that they trust me and our process. I am so thankful that they are growing to trust themselves in the process."
