Hunters Bend Elementary Celebrates Derby Day

Hunters Bend Elementary looked more like Churchill Downs on August 30 as the school celebrated Derby Day in style.

As a reward for meeting the school's INVEST fundraiser goal, students and staff dressed up in fun hats and Derby attire. The highlight of the day was a lively race featuring Assistant Principal Dr. Anthony Padelski, third grade teacher Holland Roswell and kindergarten teacher Kelley Wheeler, which brought cheers and laughter to everyone watching.
