How is it possible to visit Egypt, Greece and Mexico in five minutes? Thompson's Station Elementary students are finding out.
Using virtual reality headsets, fifth grade students explored some of the oldest buildings in the world, including the Hagia Sophia in Turkey, the Al Khazenh in Jordan and the pyramids of Giza in Egypt. For some students, it was their first time learning about the structures.
"I thought it was really cool," said TSES fifth grader Sierra Uttz. "I've never been to any of those places, so it's great to see all of it. I didn't know that the pyramids were built by hand, and that was fun to learn."
