BES Students Build, Create and Explore at STEM Day

Bethesda Elementary students enjoyed a day of discovery and creativity at the school’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Day on November 7.

Throughout the day, math, science and related arts classes participated in numerous STEM activities. Students built towers with Magna-Tiles and Keva blocks, listened to speakers discuss different STEM careers, flew a plane on the flight simulator and built paper airplanes.

"I like that STEM day had activities that connect to different types of careers," said fourth grader Jaidah. "I had fun learning more about all of the jobs."
