As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary, Nolensville High is proud to recognize the NHS Class of 2026 graduates who have committed to serving the nation.
Sam Bacigalupo has been accepted to the United States Naval Academy and will begin training on June 25.
“For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to serve and be a part of something bigger than myself,” said Sam. “Service to my country is always something I’ve seen as noble, admirable and something I aspire to do. I can’t wait to take up this responsibility and do it well.”
Clark Jenkins has been accepted to the United States Air Force Academy and will begin his training on June 24.
"I was inspired to attend the United States Air Force Academy because I want to serve my country and cultivate my leadership potential as a future officer in the Air or Space Force while receiving a world-class education,” said Clark. “I am grateful to those who sacrificed before me and to my mentors who encouraged me to live by the US Air Force Academy's core values."
Cruz Pryor was accepted to the United States Military Academy at West Point and will begin training on June 29.
“I’m excited to start my West Point journey soon,” said Cruz. “I remember first considering West Point when recruiters came to the high school my freshman year. It just appealed to me and seemed like something I wanted to be a part of and a chance to see the world and be part of something bigger than myself. My grandfather and step-grandfather were both in the army for their careers, and I am proud to be able to carry on that tradition of serving my country.”
Each student will complete a four-year program focusing on academics, physical fitness and leadership development. Upon graduation, they will commit to active-duty service.
“These highly selective honors reflect their extraordinary academic achievement, leadership and commitment to service,” said NHS Principal Dr. Jeni Calvert. “It is truly incredible what these young people have accomplished, and we look forward to the impact they will make in the future.”
NHS Class of 2026 graduate Addison Erickson will also join the Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) this fall.
