Fairview Elementary will welcome Dr. Sandy Anderson as its next principal. Anderson, a veteran administrator with extensive experience in education, was introduced to the FES faculty and staff on July 8.

"Dr. Anderson knows the importance of strong relationships, high expectations and the connection between home and school," said Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Schools Dr. Juli Oyer. "She brings a passion for growing students and creating success in their lives both in the classroom and beyond. We are thrilled to have her join the excellent administrators already serving in the Fairview community, and we can't wait to watch the FES Hawks soar under her leadership."

Anderson has worked in elementary school administration since 2017, when she accepted the role of assistant principal in the Othello School District in Washington. In 2019, she became the principal of Wahitis Elementary in that same district. In 2023, she took on the role of Houston Elementary principal in the Denison Independent School District in Texas, and her most current role was the principal of Terrell Elementary, also in the Denison Independent School District.

“I am honored to join Fairview Elementary as the new principal,” said Anderson. “As I step into this role, I look forward to getting to know our students, staff and families. Strong schools are built through collaboration, trust and a shared commitment to doing what is best for students every day. I believe deeply that all students can achieve at high levels when we set clear expectations and provide the right support. Together, we will build on the strengths of Fairview Elementary.”

Anderson holds a bachelor’s in exercise sport science from the University of Utah; a master’s in education from Washington State University; and a doctorate in educational leadership from Gonzaga University. She will begin her new role immediately.
