Elementary Schools Celebrated at WCS Work Session

Four WCS elementary schools were in the spotlight at the School Board's September 17 work session.

Before the meeting began, students from Allendale, Bethesda, Chapman's Retreat and Thompson's Station elementary schools showcased what they had been learning in the classroom. Students recreated art projects, shared insights from books they are reading and highlighted other classroom activities.

"The students became the teachers at our work session," said WCS Interim Superintendent Dr. Leigh Webb. "It was fun watching them interact with our Board Members and staff. They did an excellent job and represented their schools well."

Each month, a different group of schools will be invited to the work session to demonstrate lessons for community members and the School Board.
