Celebrating the District's School Counselors

School counselors play a vital role in the education of WCS students. That’s why the district is recognizing their hard work during National School Counseling Week, February 3-7.

School counselors assist students in the areas of academic achievement, college and career planning and social well-being. As licensed educators with specialized training, they are fundamental in promoting academic success, developing interpersonal skills and supporting students in planning for their futures.

Teachers and parents collaborate with counselors to create a supportive environment where students can reach their full potential and establish personal goals.

“School counselors are important members of the education team," said WCS School Counseling Specialist Molly O’Neal. "Through comprehensive programs, they meet diverse student needs, equipping them to navigate challenges inside and outside the classroom."
