The Williamson County School Board voted to extend Superintendent Jason Golden's contract by one year at its June 15 meeting.
In his report to the Board, Golden thanked the public speakers and Board members. He also spoke about the work of the Screentime Committee and the district's cellphone policy.
In Student Spotlights, the Board celebrated several students who earned perfect ACT composite scores and the middle and high school student-athletes who won State titles at this year's Spring Fling Tournament.
In New Business, the Board:
- Approved the Evaluation of Superintendent (Annual Agenda Item)
- Approved the following 2025-26 School Board Budget Items:
- General Purpose School Fund Amendment Summer Learning Camps Grant in the amount of $5,198,896
- General Purpose School Fund Amendment Fine Arts Donation from Gibson Gives in the amount of $42,975
- General Purpose School Fund Amendment Public School Construction and Maintenance (PSCM) in the amount of $1,025,319.86
- Central Cafeteria Fund Amendment in the amount of $252,895.94
- 2025-2026 Budget Adjustments Final Year End Intra-Category
- Resolution of 2026-2027 Capital Request in the amount of $13,665,250
- Approved the Student Transportation Policy on First and Final Reading
- Approved Differentiated Pay Plan (Annual Agenda Item)
- Approved PECCA Memorandum of Understanding (Annual Agenda Item)
In Other Business, the Board:
- Approved the Agenda
- Approved the Consent Agenda, which includes:
- May 18, 2026 School Board Meeting Minutes
- Child Find and Special Education Policy on Second Reading
- ePlan Applications for FY2027 to include ESEA Grants as Amended by Every Student Succeeds Act, IDEA, Part B, IDEA Pre-School, and Carl Perkins (Perkins V) Grants
- Building Modification for a Shade Structure at Amanda North Elementary
- Recommendation for Field Trip Fee Requests
