WCS Elementary, Middle Schools Among Best in State

Two WCS elementary schools and four middle schools are within the top 10 highest-ranked schools in Tennessee according to US News and World Report's 2025 Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools lists.

In Tennessee, Clovercroft Elementary is ranked sixth, and Jordan Elementary is ranked seventh. More than 105,000 pre-kindergarten, elementary and middle schools were analyzed.

"We are so proud of the Clovercroft and Jordan school communities," said WCS Executive Director of Elementary Schools Laura LaChance. "Our teachers work tirelessly to ensure that every student is working toward mastering grade-level skills. Couple that with exceptional students who are committed to always doing their best, and you can see why they are among the best in the State."

On the middle school list, Brentwood Middle is ranked sixth; Sunset Middle is ranked seventh; Page Middle is ranked eighth; and Woodland Middle is ranked ninth.

"Being ranked among the top 10 middle schools is a reflection of the collective effort and shared vision of each school community," said WCS Executive Director of Secondary Schools Heather Hayes. "This prestigious recognition is a testament to the relentless dedication, unwavering diligence, exceptional work ethic and collaborative spirit of these schools."
