Two WCS student-athletes have earned the title of Tennessee Titans Mr. Football.

Page High's Eric Hazzard and Ravenwood High's Donovan Starr were recognized December 10 at Nissan Stadium along with the other winners. Eric is the Class 5A Mr. Football, while Donovan won in Class 6A.

"Eric is everything you want in a student-athlete," said PHS football coach Charles Rathbone. "He is a leader on and off the field and carries himself with pride and dignity that is and excellent representation of Page High. By winning this award, it is a great ending to a great high school career that included starting in 60 games and four State championship games."

High school head coaches and members of the media nominated the finalists. A committee of statewide sports writers selected winners based on performance in the 2024 regular season. Academics and character were also taken into consideration.

"Donovan has had an amazing senior season culminating with being selected as Mr. Football for Class 6A," said RHS football coach Will Hester. "He was a huge part of our team's success this year as he played offense, defense and special teams. We look forward to following his collegiate career at Auburn."

The awards were presented to the top football players in each of the nine classifications of the Tennessee Secondary Schools Athletic Association. The top kickers in the state were also recognized.
