Ravenwood High Girls Soccer Wins First State Championship

The Ravenwood High varsity girls soccer team closed its season by winning its first state championship title.
The team defeated Brentwood High in the final game November 9 and became the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) Class AAA champions. The final score was 3-2.
“The girls made individual sacrifices for each other and it paid off,” said RHS head coach Brandon Meade. “They will remember this moment for the rest of their lives and their names on the trophy will live forever within Ravenwood High School. I am so proud of them. To watch them celebrate was absolutely priceless.”
The championship team includes Ashley Yoshihara, Leah Johnson, Mia Fraser, Sarah Cloud, Sarah Kate Rath, Courtney Hill, Josie Ricketts, Erin Bentley, Anna Major, Tori Case, Marcella Forero Pretto, Lillye Perez, Nora Henderson, Christina Stauffer, Lauren Hiatt, Maddie Gleason, Anna Jahr, Lorelai De Lacuesta, Faith Vantson and Kendall Curran.
