Jordan Elementary Thanks Veterans

Jordan Elementary spent the morning honoring veterans in the community during a special ceremony November 11.

After the PTO treated the veterans to breakfast, a ceremony was held in the gymnasium. Members of the Ravenwood High Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) presented the flags, and the Jordan Elementary choir sang for the crowd. It’s a tradition Principal Chad Walker hopes will stick.

“We are going to try to make a Veterans Day celebration an annual event,” Walker said. “We want to honor our veterans and also teach our students about the day.”
