Jordan Elementary Students Create Earth Models

Published October 29, 2019

Fourth grade students at Jordan Elementary had the whole world in their hands during science class October 23.

While learning about different layers of the Earth, students in JES teacher Shaun Robertson’s class created models of the planet using colored clay. Each color represented a different layer: the inner core, outer core, mantle and crust. While they were making the models, the students had to be sure the layers correctly represented how thick the real layers are.
