Independence High Sets Up One-Day Musical

Creating a musical is already a challenge, but the Independence High theater department is taking it to the next level.

Friday, November 15, the department will announce its show. For the 24 hours following the announcement, students will design, memorize and create the musical for a performance Saturday, November 16, at 7 p.m.

“There’s sure to be lots of hard work, a ton of laughter, maybe a bit of hysteria and definitely copious amounts of coffee,” said IHS theater director Rebecca Williams. “Our hope is to put on a show that’s enjoyable in some way.”

Tickets will cost $10 at the door.
