Students at Chapman’s Retreat Elementary were having so much fun during the school’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Day that they didn’t want to leave.
On Friday, December 13, students were given various tasks and challenges throughout the day to test their problem-solving skills. The snow-themed challenges included building the tallest snowman using only paper and a glue stick, using a pulley to get a group of students across the gym and following a virtual obstacle course.
“I really didn’t know snow could be this fun,” said BES fifth grade student Dayana Brown. “I think today’s so cool, because we didn’t have this at my old school. My favorite part was the pulleys in P.E.”
