Brentwood Middle Students Become Puppeteers
Published September 17, 2019
Sixth grade students at Brentwood Middle are learning about one of the oldest forms of theater: puppetry.
Theater arts teacher Meredith Daniels is teaching her class how to bring a puppet to life. The students learn how to move the puppet, create a character and perform improvisation scenes.
“Puppets allow some of the kids to come out of their shells,” Daniels said. “It explores a new form of theater that they’re not used to seeing.”
