Williamson County Schools Joins Instagram

Williamson County Schools is now on Instagram! Follow the district at @wcsnews for fun photos, videos and important information.

The district decided to join the photo and video-sharing platform after completing a survey of parents and employees last year.

“In that survey, we asked specifically about Instagram,” said WCS Assistant Communications Director Cory Mason. “Forty percent of those who responded said they would follow the district if we had an Instagram account which we felt was significant.”

Mason says the content posted on Instagram will be aimed at celebrating all of the incredible things WCS students, staff and community members are accomplishing on a daily basis.

“This will not replace anything we are currently doing,” said Mason. “We will still remain active on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. We just feel like this will be another effective communication tool for highlighting the work of our students and teachers.”
