WCS Celebrates Teacher Appreciation Week

Published May 7, 2019

Williamson County Schools would like students, parents and community members to join us this week as we say thank you to our incredible educators.

National Teacher Appreciation Week, which runs from May 6-10, is a time when we honor and thank the educators who have a major influence on children’s lives.

“We are fortunate in Williamson County Schools to have amazing teachers who are committed to the success of every student,” said WCS Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources Vickie Hall. “Our teachers are the foundation of our schools and are the most important factor in a student’s learning experience.”

As a way of saying thank you to these wonderful individuals, WCS students are encouraged to print off a Successory form, nominate their favorite teacher and return the form to their school’s front office. At the end of the week, each school will draw a random winner and that employee will receive a free chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A and an engraved travel mug. The remaining Successory forms will be delivered to the staff members, giving employees an important reminder of the influence they have on their students.

Williamson County Schools profiled several of its excellent educators in a series of recruitment videos called Why Williamson. In these videos, which you can find listed below, teachers reveal why they love their job and why they chose to work for Williamson County Schools.
