Social Studies OER Team Material Review Dates

The Social Studies Open Education Resource Team (OER) is hard at work designing the new curriculum for the 2019-20 school year, and now there’s a chance for the public to see the team’s progress.

On March 25-27, community members will be able to take a look at the teaching materials for next year’s classrooms.  The materials will be available for viewing at the WCS Professional Development Building from 4-7 p.m. each day.

“Those who join us to preview the materials will have the chance to review the updated scope and sequence,” said OER team member Kayla Fraley. “Teachers, parents and community members will also have the opportunity to preview the website we’ve created to house all the instructional materials the OER team has carefully curated for Williamson County teachers to use.”

The WCS Professional Development Building is located at 1761 West Main St. in Franklin.
