Scales Elementary Students Launch Rockets

Fifth grade students at Scales Elementary became rocket scientists as they designed and tested a bottle rocket during an experiment May 3.

Starting with a two-liter bottle, the students created a rocket that would protect an egg inside. The project was part of their Space Week. To test the rockets, students went outside to launch them using an air pump.
