Frist Art Museum Showcases WCS Student Work

Published February 18, 2019

UPDATE: With expected worsening of weather conditions, Frist Art Museum will honor admission fliers until March 10 for the WCS Art Show for families unable to safely attend the opening on February 23.

Dozens of Williamson County Schools students will have their art showcased at the Frist Art Museum beginning February 23.

The annual WCS Art Show at the Frist opens at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23. Two students from each grade level or high school class will have their work displayed for two weeks. On opening day, students and parents can visit the exhibit for free by showing the informational flyer.

“This display aims to highlight art education in WCS and inspire students to continue pursuing excellence in the arts,” said WCS Fine Arts Director Melissa Dufrechou. “It offers a unique opportunity for young, aspiring artists to have their work displayed in a nationally recognized museum.”

Below is a chart displaying the suggested viewing times for each school. Organizers say while parents and students may visit at any time throughout the day, following the suggested times will help cut down on crowd size and make the viewing process run smoothly.
