Franklin High JROTC Holds Change of Command Ceremony

The Franklin High Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (JROTC) held its annual Change of Command ceremony April 12.

Senior Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Michael Stevens handed the title of cadet battalion commander down to Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Sikama N’Kouka, a junior.

As leaders within the JROTC unit, both Michael and Sikama know they face challenges in and out of the classroom.

“Both students are remarkable young men,” said Senior Army Instructor Maj. Jay Massey. “They are smart, energetic, highly-motivated and have made amazing impacts to a program that thrives on excellence.”
