Encore Camp at Allendale Elementary

It’s getting messy at Allendale Elementary School, and it’s all part of the school’s Encore Camp.

AES kindergarten teacher Erin Uppinghouse says Encore Camp gives campers the opportunity to do something different.

“When they’re at home, the students are told not to make a mess,” said Uppinghouse. “Here, we want them to make a mess and be creative. It’s not just another school day.”

Allendale Elementary’s camp offers classic favorites including Cupcake Creations and Gross Science in addition to innovative options including Marshmallow Engineering and Mission Impossible.

“This week has been fantastic,” said Uppinghouse. “The students bring so much excitement into the camp, and it’s phenomenal.”
