Art Students Receive Scholastic National Medals

Published March 26, 2019

Several WCS students are earning national recognition for their creativity by being named Scholastic National Medalists.

Seven high school art students earned either a Silver or Gold Medal from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Independence High’s Madison Gabay also won an American Voices and Visions Medal for her work, Hands in My Hair. The American Voices and Visions Medal is only given to a handful of students from each region.
