Across the Board – May 6, 2019

Deputy Superintendent and General Counsel Jason Golden has been named Interim Superintendent of Schools. The Williamson County Board of Education voted unanimously to appoint Golden during a special called meeting May 6, 2019. The vote came after Board members agreed to accept Dr. Mike Looney’s resignation effective May 20, 2019.  Looney has accepted the superintendent’s position at Fulton County Schools in Georgia.

Golden will begin his new role on May 21, 2019.

The next regular meeting of the Williamson County Board of Education is scheduled for Monday, May 20, 2019, beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Administrative Complex.
