Academic All-Star – Trevor Hall, College Grove Elementary

College Grove Elementary School is proud to name Trevor Hall as its Academic All-Star for the 2018-19 school year.
Teachers say Trevor is a model fifth grade student who is very deserving of this honor.
“Trevor is a well-rounded example of what it means to be responsible academically as well as kind and helpful,” said fifth grade teacher Katie Evans. “He is hesitant to accept praise, but quick to offer it to others. Trevor is a great example of qualities a leader should possess when setting an example for others in fifth grade.”
Having been at College Grove since kindergarten, Trevor says he has mixed feelings about making the move to middle school.
“I’m going to miss all of it,” said Trevor when asked what he’ll miss the most about College Grove. “This school has a ton of good friends and lots of great teachers. The teachers don’t just teach us stuff; they have fun with us too.”
Trevor’s favorite subject is social studies because he likes learning about history. In fifth grade alone, he has learned about the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Cold War and the Civil Rights Movement.
When he’s not in school, Trevor stays busy playing sports and spending time with his family.
“I like to play flag football,” said Trevor. “I also play soccer and baseball sometimes, and I like to hang out with my brother and sister.”
Although he’s not sure what he wants to be when he grows up, Trevor says he knows that school is the key to a successful future.
“School is important to me,” said Trevor. “I know I will need an education so that I can get a good job when I get older.”
