Academic All-Star – Arabella Best, Page Middle

Published February 26, 2019

Page Middle School is proud to name eighth grader Arabella Best as its Academic All-Star for the 2018-19 school year.

Arabella was presented with the award during a surprise announcement February 26. Administrators say the 13-year-old understands what it means to persevere both academically and personally.

“Arabella is kind, caring and giving,” said Page Middle Assistant Principal Quen Williams. “She is one of the most determined and hardest working students we have. Arabella takes students under her wing, helps them with their homework and offers up positive encouragement.”

As she finishes up her time at Page Middle, Arabella says she feels fortunate to have had so many incredible educators.

“The teachers here are the best,” said Arabella, who admits social studies is her favorite class. “I really like their teaching style. It feels unique to me because it’s so easy to follow along with their lessons.”

Outside of class, Arabella stayed busy this winter performing with the Page Middle dance team. On top of that, she has a passion of interior design.

“I’m kind of addicted to HGTV and those types of shows,” said Arabella. “I think it’s interesting to see that there are different styles for everyone. I think interior design would be a fun job.”

In the meantime, Arabella plans to keep doing all the things that earned her the coveted title of Page Middle Academic All-Star.

“This is a huge honor, and it makes me feel so special,” said Arabella. “School is just a really important part of my life. I figure if it’s something I have to do, then I’m going to be invested in it.”
