Youth Leadership Franklin Meets with Dr. Looney

Published January 10, 2018

On January 10, the Youth Leadership Franklin 2017-18 class had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Mike Looney and ask a few questions of the WCS superintendent.

Youth Leadership Franklin is a program open to all sophomores and juniors in Williamson County. It offers the chance to meet with community leaders, understand what leadership means and become more involved in the Williamson County community.

The benefits of the program continue after graduation. Not only do the students involved learn valuable life skills, they also can apply for a $1,000 scholarship for their freshman year of college.

“On behalf of the Youth Leadership Board, we appreciate the support of Dr. Looney and school administrators for allowing sophomores and juniors to participate in this program during the school year,” said board member Diane Giddens.
