WCS Marching Bands Star in Competitions

Two Williamson County high school marching bands hit the right note at their recent competitions.

The Franklin Band placed second at the Bands of America Clarksville Regional at Austin Peay State University. The competition took place on September 23, and the Franklin Band took on 25 other bands from Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.

The Brentwood High School marching band swept the Columbia Invitational Marching Contest by earning the title of Grand Champions. The band also placed third for Color Guard Performance and earned first in Percussion Performance, Visual Performance and Musical Performance.
