Trinity Elementary BooHoo Breakfast

The first day of kindergarten can sometimes be more emotional for the parents than the students. At Trinity Elementary, every kindergarten parent was welcomed at the BooHoo/Yahoo Breakfast sponsored by the TES PTO.

After walking their child to the classroom, parents were invited into the cafeteria to grab some fruit, pastries and coffee and take a seat at the tables to meet and talk with other parents. The goal is to start building a community that will last throughout the year.

“The first full day with their kiddos in school can be emotional,” said Trinity Elementary PTO President Christy Sykes. “By having a place for the parents to share breakfast, they can cry or laugh with others who can understand what they are feeling.”
