Students Shine at Model United Nations Conference

Published December 1, 2017

Some Williamson County students are honing their leadership skills as part of the Model United Nations program.

Each year, students get a chance to see global issues from a new perspective at the Model U.N. conference hosted by the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement. The conference puts students through a simulation that allows them to learn about diplomacy and international relations while testing their skills in researching, debating, writing and speaking.

This year’s conference was held in November, and students from several WCS middle and high schools were recognized for their work.
