The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating.

If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of InFocus. Below are some of the questions we have received since our last issue.

Will those schools that have capacity to take any WCS schools be announced in February of 2018 like last year and does a student have an opportunity to enroll at an open enrollment school mid-term?

The School Board is expected to vote on open zoned schools at the February 19 meeting. If approved, the form will be available the next day with the deadline to apply of May 15, 2018. Requests to attend an open zoned school are not approved after the deadline.

This does not apply to residential moves which are approved throughout the school year.
