If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of InFocus. Below are some of the questions we have received since our last issue.

Prior to the recent referendum on the sales tax increase to fund Williamson County Schools, I received a note from Dr. Looney in the mail that encouraged county residents to go vote. Did the school system pay for that mailer? If so, how much was spent? If not, what entity paid for it?

A political action committee called Citizens for School Funding paid for and distributed the mailer which contained Superintendent Looney’s letter.

Is the district wide career fair open to out of county teachers?

Yes, the February 17 District-Wide Career Fair is open to anyone interested in working for Williamson County Schools. Representatives from every school and department will be on hand to meet potential employees and future team members. The event will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at Independence High School in Thompson’s Station. Some of the positions the district is looking to fill include teachers, teaching assistants, substitute teachers, food service workers, bus drivers, child care workers and more.
