Mill Creek Middle Spring BE NICE Day

Published May 3, 2018

Mill Creek Middle School hosted its second BE NICE Day of the year on May 3, this time including the elementary school in the festivities.

Throughout the day, the classes rotated throughout the school to participate in different activities. Some classes played team-building games, some wrote thank-you notes and some went around Nolensville to help spread the BE NICE message.

“The entire day is centered around the idea that we want kids to do nice things around the campus as well as the community,” said social studies teacher Ellen Ives. “We want to spread the Mill Creek positive vibe.”

The elementary classes were also involved. Middle school students traveled across the building to give advice to third-graders, help organize an art room and just spend time with the younger students.

“They have absolutely loved getting to hang out with the elementary kids,” Ives said. “This will help build that community feel. We strive to make sure those elementary kids have positive middle school role models to look up to.”
