Continuing a 32-year tradition, the Brentwood City Commission donated $225,000 to support public schools in the Brentwood area for the 2017-18 school year.
The donation was presented at the commission’s August 28 meeting and will be distributed among Brentwood High, Ravenwood High, Brentwood Middle, Sunset Middle, Woodland Middle, Crockett Elementary, Edmondson Elementary, Kenrose Elementary, Lipscomb Elementary, Scales Elementary and Sunset Elementary schools to use as needed.
“The City of Brentwood has long understood the importance of public schools to the quality of life in our community,” said Brentwood City Mayor Jill Burgin. “In recognition of that, the city sets aside money each year to donate to schools that serve Brentwood residents.”
