Published October 20, 2016

WCS choral students will present an All-District Honor Choir performance Thursday, October 27.

The performance will feature a seventh and eighth grade choir and a high school choir. Teachers select the top students from their choral programs to participate.

Selected students are expected to learn and prepare their music independently. They then spend the day with a guest clinician as they prepare for a free performance in the evening. Students from all 20 middle and high schools as well as Freedom Middle School will perform.

James Wells, co-director of the Nashville Children’s Choir at Belmont University, will conduct the middle school choir. The high school choir will be conducted by Dr. Lesley Maxwell Mann, an Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education at Belmont University and conductor the Women’s Chorus.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. at Brentwood United Methodist Church. For more information, contact melissa.dufrechou@wcs.edu.
