WCS Students Impress at TV Production Awards

Published April 20, 2017

WCS TV/Film students are proving once again they’re among the best in the region.

Williamson County students won nine of the 15 categories at the 2017 Midsouth Student Television Production Awards.

This year’s ceremony was held April 20 in Nashville and hosted by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the same organization that produces the Emmy awards.

The number of nominations in each category is based on scores voted by judging panels, which are scored on the same criteria as the professional Emmy Awards – content, creativity and execution.

WCS students won first place in the following categories. They will now move on to the national competition.
