WCS Shines at TNACDA State Choral Festival
Published May 5, 2017
Williamson County Schools choirs are some of the best in the state and they have the grades to prove it.
Over 2,000 singers in 68 choirs from 40 schools participated in the 30th annual American Choral Directors Association State Choral Festival last week, and WCS was among the best in the bunch.
Larry Wyatt and Alicia Walker from the choral department at the University of South Carolina were joined by Craig Jones from Harding Academy in Searcy, Arkansas, to provide both written and recorded critiques and assign ratings for every choir in eight areas including tone, intonation, diction, technique, balance and interpretation.
