Williamson County students ruled at the 2017 Regional Science Olympiad, capturing four of the top six spots.
In the high school competition, Ravenwood finished in first place and Franklin High finished in third. Brentwood Middle took home first place in the middle school competition and Woodland Middle finished third.
With the top three teams from each competition advancing to the state competition, all four schools moved on.
“I am so proud of these students,” said WCS Science Curriculum Specialist Sarah White. “Science Olympiad is such a diverse, science competition. It encompasses science knowledge, science investigations and engineering applications of science which means each team must be versatile and able to compete in many different events.”
