WCS Seniors Earn Occupational Diplomas
Published May 10, 2017
Twenty Williamson County students are now ready to join the American workforce after receiving their occupational diplomas on May 9.
Those students, as well as the juniors in the program, were honored at the WCS Occupational Diploma Banquet.
The event featured speeches from WCS Assistant Superintendent Charles Farmer, Student Support Services High School Specialist Maria Griego and Brentwood Tazikis owner Dale Wasem.
“This celebration is the culminating event for our senior students recognizing them for all their accomplishments during their two years in the occupational diploma program,” Griego said. “We are super proud of all these students.”
The students appreciated the recognition of their hard work.
“It was really fun to get my occupational diploma,” said Centennial senior Jaden Cole. “My friends are nice, and I’ll miss being at Centennial High School with them.”
And they are excited to move on to the next step of their lives.
“I want to work every day, try my best and help my family and friends,” said Fairview High senior Joe Connor. “I love helping people.”
