Walnut Grove Develops FAST Math Fluency Program

Walnut Grove Elementary School is developing a new fluency program called FAST Math. It stands for Fluency and Strategies Together.

“We want the kids to know the facts automatically,” said WGES Math Coach Pam Hargrove, who dressed up as a superhero for the launch of the program. “But if they don’t know the facts automatically, we want the students to have a strategy they can use to help them find the answer.”
