Walk Across Williamson Winners Receive Mini-Grants

The winners of this year’s Walk Across Williamson Challenge will receive a boost to their efforts to improve school health.
The countywide contest is designed to promote physical activity among Williamson County students and residents. Grants were given to schools based on the percentage of student participation. These grants will go to support each school’s health plan goals.
- 1st – Lipscomb Elementary – $1,000
- 2nd – Walnut Grove Elementary – $800
- 3rd – Kenrose Elementary – $600
- 4th – Chapman’s Retreat Elementary – $300
- 5th – Franklin High – $250
Trophies were also handed out this year to the elementary, middle and high schools that logged the most activity minutes for students, staff and parent participants. The winners will keep their trophy for a year before returning it for next year’s winners:
- Elementary Champion: Lipscomb Elementary
- Middle Champion: Woodland Middle
- High School Champion: Franklin High
