Menus

The Food Services Department has a staff of approximately 240 employees serving approximately 25,000 meals a day. Each kitchen is staffed with a cafe supervisor and several cafe workers. WCS participates in the Offer vs. Serve Program for all grade levels. This is a USDA program which allows students to choose what they would like to eat.

The meals are broken down into components and the students are required to take a certain number of components to have the meal qualify as a lunch or breakfast. Go to old.wcs.edu/departments/food-services and click on the How the Program Works button to learn more about the different components that make up a school meal.

Good Nutrition Fuels Learning

We continue to improve the health of our school environment. Students across the district are offered healthier school lunches containing more fruits, vegetables and whole grains on a daily basis. The foods and beverages served in WCS exceed USDA regulations for school nutrition programs. The Smart Snacks we offer in our schools build on those healthy advancements and ensure that kids are only offered tasty and nutritious foods during the school day.
