School Board Presented New Rezoning Plan

Published March 17, 2017

Williamson County parents will soon have the opportunity to share their thoughts on a rezoning proposal for the 2018-19 school year.

The plan was presented to the Williamson County School Board at its March 16 work session meeting.

The proposal will create zone lines for the district’s three new schools: an elementary school in Brentwood and an elementary and a middle school in Thompson’s Station. Those schools will open for the 2018-19 school year.

WCS will hold community meetings in March and April, and the Board plans to vote on the new rezoning plan in May.

The meeting schedule is below:

March 28 – Independence High
April 4 – Franklin High
April 5 – Page High
April 6 – Ravenwood High

All meetings are from 6 p.m. until 7:30 pm. Click here to view the zoning proposal.
