The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating.

Will WCS students get out of school for the solar eclipse on August 21, 2017?

Williamson County Schools will be in session on Monday, August 21, 2017 during the total solar eclipse. How schools plan to mark this occasion will be up to each individual school. That being said, the science of an eclipse is directly connected to K-6 science and social studies as well as high school astronomy.
