The purpose of this section is to answer any questions parents, teachers or community members might have regarding the school district and to set the record straight in regards to any rumors that might be circulating.
If you have a question or have heard a rumor that you would like for us to address, simply SEND US your questions and we will respond to them in upcoming issues of InFocus. Below are some of the questions we have received since our last issue.
A company called VerAcademy contacted me and said that my child had shown interest in their SAT/ACT prep course. My son says this is not true, and he has never heard of them. I am curious how they got my child’s name. Does the district give out student names to companies like VerAcademy?
Williamson County Schools does not release student information to VerAcademy, and the district is not affiliated with that company in any way. We encourage parents to conduct their own research before purchasing educational tools and products.
If you receive a call from a private company asking you for money while implying they are associated with your child’s school, you should be suspicious.
