Ravenwood High School student Nathan Keffer is among the top high school actors in the nation. On June 26, Nathan took the stage at the 2017 Jimmy Awards and was named one of the Top 4 Male Actors in the nation.
After being named Best Actor at the Spotlight Awards in Nashville, Nathan joined 74 other high schools students in New York City to compete in the ninth annual Jimmy Awards.
“It has been truly amazing to watch Nathan grow into the performer he is today,” said RHS theater teacher Brian Kaufman. “Every time Nathan hits the stage he gets better.”
For being a national finalist, Nathan was awarded a $2,500 scholarship toward his future education courtesy of the Barry and Fran Weissler Foundation.
“His natural ability and intuition is something you can’t teach, but only guide,” Kaufman said. “He makes everyone around him a better performer. We are so lucky to have him in our program.”
