Page High Band Wraps Up Stellar Season

Published November 9, 2016

The Page High marching band has had a good year. Presenting a show titled The Centrifuge, the Patriot band took its show on the road and earned several honors throughout the 2016 season.

The PHS band earned the title of Reserve Grand Champion at a competition held at John Overton High School. They earned the same honor at this year’s Tennessee Valley Invitational in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, where they finished second out of 26 bands. Last but not least, the band was named Grand Champion in a competition at Glencliff High School.

“Our marching band had a wonderful season this year,” Page High Director of Bands Matt Emerson said. “Considering how young our band is – we marched 20 eighth graders this year – they were definitely overachievers. I could not be more proud of a band than I am of this one!”
